Pay: Base salary $55K + commission; total earnings $70K.

Position Overview

 

With the guidance of the Business Intelligence Manager and the local Field Sales Manager, the Business Development Representative assumes responsibility for increasing market share and awareness in the designated territory and generation of new customers.  Product offerings will include Raymond brand lift trucks, aftermarket service and parts for Raymond and non-Raymond equipment, service and replacement of industrial batteries, as well as other products relating to material handling, distribution & warehousing in general. The primary goal of the Business Development Representative is to generate new sales opportunities and pass them on to other sales agents who will convert them into new customers.

 

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

 

  • Work within Raymond Storage Concepts geographical territory to find new business opportunities & leads for sales team members by phone, email, and visiting prospect locations
  • Travel within the local service area to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships internally and with prospective customers
  • Provide prompt responses to sales team members and prospects
  • Log data obtained from prospecting into CRM system and maintain data integrity
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Set up meetings both in person and virtual between prospective clients and sales team members
  • Maximizing touches of non-Raymond Storage Concepts customers
  • Use business intelligence information such as reports and databases to create and develop strategic plans for contacting prospects.
  • Collaborate with other members of the sales team in a dynamic and collaborative selling atmosphere
  • Drive multiple sales opportunities in one account (rounding out product understanding)
  • Ride along with other sales team members and be mentored on selling techniques and strategy
  • Contact vendors to write up quotes and proposals for prospects
  • Manage outlook calendar /schedule between CRM, phone calls and time in the field
  • Attending training classes both online and in person on products and services the Raymond Storage Concepts provides

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working in a fast pace environment
  • Able to demonstrate the following soft skills: persistence, driven, hungry to learn, creative, and competitive
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally both internally and externally
  • Proficient in MS Office Outlook and Excel
  • Familiar with Google maps
