Responsibilities
The Fair Futures Coach is a full-time position that provides support and resources to help youth make progress towards their academic, career development, housing/independent living, and other life goals. The Fair Futures Coach will report directly to Fair Futures Coach Supervisor. The Fair Futures Coach will be responsible for:
Coach Responsibilities:
- Provides ongoing social and emotional support by building trusting relationship with up to 18 youth as well as continuously assess for safety, addressing crises, to ensure the overall well-being of youth
- Provides one-on-one and group facilitation to develop life skills training, college preparation, & leadership training to youth
- Responsible for engaging youth in goal setting as it relates to academic, career, & housing
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues, & stakeholders in the community to connect youth to resources
- Work to prepare youth as they transition out of FC by assisting with supportive services in the community as well as connect youth to best fit opportunities
- Work with discharged youth up to 26yrs old
- Participate in group, individual coaching, trainings, and all staff meetings to strengthen professional development, skill growth, & group cohesion
- Complete timely and accurate documentation of session progress and collateral notes in CONNXs, & Care4 database systems

Qualifications
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
- 2yrs of relevant experience in child welfare, social services, or related field
- Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines, & prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work with diverse population and work from a strengths-based, trauma-informed, youth development lens
- Ability to receive and execute feedback to professionally grow and/or improve and be flexible with programmatic needs and changes
- Knowledgeable in Excel, Word, TEAMS, Outlook & Power Point
- Must be able to travel to meet youth in their homes, in the community and as needed
Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, Sociology or related field
Education Required
