Role - Digital Supply Chain – Manufacturing/Engineering/Safety Manager
Location- Pune
Role Summary
Lead end-to-end digital transformation across manufacturing operations, supply chain planning/execution, and EHS. Own the deployment and scaling of Industry 4.0 solutions, drive operational excellence (OEE, yield, throughput), ensure compliance-first safety, and enable data-driven decision-making across plants and the extended supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities
1) Digital Supply Chain & Operations
- Implement and scale Industry 4.0 solutions (IoT/IIoT, MES, digital twins, predictive maintenance, connected worker, AGVs/AMRs).
- Drive S&OP / IBP adoption aligned to demand planning, inventory optimization, and capacity planning.
- Improve OTIF, lead-time reduction, and service levels via end-to-end visibility, control towers, and exception-based management.
- Integrate ERP/MES/WMS/TMS for seamless plan–make–move–deliver processes; drive master data discipline.
- Deploy analytics & dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) for OEE, scrap, downtime, quality, and safety KPIs.
2) Manufacturing Engineering & Continuous Improvement
- Own process engineering improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, and SMED.
- Lead automation/robotics initiatives; build business cases and ROI for capex.
- Enhance First Pass Yield and reduce CoPQ using SPC, DoE, and root-cause problem solving.
- Standardize SOPs, digital work instructions, and change control across lines/sites.
3) Safety, Health & Environment (EHS)
- Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and internal standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Implement behavior-based safety, incident reporting, risk assessments (HAZOP/JSA), and emergency preparedness.
- Digitize safety processes—permit-to-work, LOTO, audits, and corrective actions—through EHS platforms.
- Drive safety culture and training; reduce TRIR/LTIR and near-miss rates.
4) Stakeholder & Program Leadership
- Act as the bridge between Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, IT/OT, Procurement, Finance, and HR.
- Manage vendor/partner ecosystems (system integrators, OEMs, software providers).
- Lead project governance—charters, timelines, budgets, change management, and benefits realization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
- 8–12+ years in manufacturing/supply chain with at least 3–5 years in digital/Industry 4.0 programs.
- Proven experience with ERP/MES/WMS/TMS integration and factory/warehouse digitization.
- Strong grounding in Lean/Six Sigma; Green Belt/Black Belt preferred.
- Demonstrated EHS ownership; knowledge of ISO 45001/14001 and risk methodologies.
Preferred Skills & Tools
- Platforms: SAP/Oracle/D365, MES (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FTPC, GE Proficy), EHS (Enablon, Intelex), WMS/TMS, PLM/SCM suites.
- Analytics/IIoT: Power BI/Tableau, Kepware/OPC-UA, MQTT, edge gateways, cloud (Azure/AWS).
- Methods: S&OP/IBP, OEE, TPM, FMEA, SPC, DoE, RCAs (5-Why, Fishbone), A3.
- Soft skills: cross-functional leadership, vendor management, change management, strong communication.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- OEE improvement (e.g., +5–10 pts YoY).
- Quality: FPY ↑, scrap/rework ↓.
- Supply Chain: OTIF ↑, inventory turns ↑, lead-time ↓.
- EHS: TRIR/LTIR ↓, audit closure SLA adherence.
- Digital Adoption: % use of dashboards, system uptime, predictive accuracy, project ROI.
