About this role

Your Role/Key Responsibilities

Customer Strategy and Business Plan

  • Drive operational excellence and business growth in the Economy Chains and Local Supermarket channels. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and distributor teams to resolve operational issues and ensure in-store execution.
  • Work closely with trade marketing and brand teams to align on channel and account strategies. 
  • Develop and implement joint business plans (JBPs) with key customers, aligning strategies across categories to achieve sales and growth targets.
  • Develop optimal integrated promotional plans, including selling the plan to customers, and manage promo investments while ensuring P&L and TTS are within allocation. 
  • Track and analyze customer performance monthly, focusing on sales contribution, growth, and market share. 
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews of JBPs and trade terms with customers through formal presentations. 
  • Perform monthly data analysis, reporting, and presentations to support internal planning and external business reviews. 
  • Deliver assigned sales targets and strategic objectives, ensuring profitable volume growth.

25%-50% of the time for travelling within East and West Malaysia


What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Experience in key account management/modern trade
  • Experience in FMCG industry.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing customer/channel investment strategy.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skill.
  • Proactive, results-oriented and creative mindset.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders, distributors, and delivering operational excellence.
