This role ensures accurate and timely management of temporary import inventories for the factory, guaranteeing compliance with foreign trade regulations and LEGO Group policies. The position supports compliance, successful audit outcomes, and brand protection through effective communication, adherence to processes, continuous improvement, and monitoring and acting upon key performance indicators.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of temporary import and export operations in the Annex 24 system, using ERP automation and customs broker inputs, in full compliance with foreign trade regulations and LEGO Group policies.
  • Perform regular reconciliations between customs records and physical inventories, identifying and resolving discrepancies to prevent compliance risks or penalties.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and records, ensuring timely availability for authorities, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor compliance performance through defined KPIs and dashboards, proactively identifying, mitigating, and escalating risks as required.
  • Drive process optimization and automation initiatives, embedding IMS standards and LEGO Continuous Improvement (LCI) principles to improve efficiency and data quality.
  • Collaborate closely with customs brokers, system providers, and local and global LEGO teams to resolve operational issues, support new implementations, and ensure continuity of operations.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Academic background in Foreign Trade, Customs, International Commerce, or equivalent practical experience in import/export and customs compliance.
  • Solid understanding and/or certifications in customs compliance, including Annex 24 and Annex 30 management, and related regulations such as AEO, IVA-IEPS, and International Trade Rules.
  • Wide experience in similar roles within IMMEX, VAT-IEPS, and AEO–certified companies.
  • Strong working knowledge of the IMMEX Decree, PROSEC, Mexican Customs Law, Customs and General Rules, Free Trade Agreements and related benefits, AEO, CTPAT, and VAT-IEPS Certification requirements.
  • High proficiency in Annex 24 and Annex 30 systems, as well as ERP platforms such as SAP.
  • Advanced communication skills both verbally and in writing and comfortable in presenting complex ideas
