In this new position as Senior Quality Manager, your core responsibility will be to ensure that the voice of play is accurately implemented in the projects, while representing the customer perspective from a quality standpoint. More specifically, you will:
Define and run project streams to secure relevant Quality Assurance (QA) activities in Product, Technology, and Equipment Development projects, working closely with sponsors and leads in Product Development, Engineering, and Quality teams.
Drive evaluation and recommend QA activities based on technology readiness levels linked to deliverables at development gates.
Build the quality strategy for verification and validation of LEGO® products while securing line-of-sight of Product and Customer requirements.
Set objectives and targets for quality requirements and performance.
Recommend Quality go/no go decisions.
Connect and supervise project and sponsor leadership teams on tradeoff decisions, priorities, capability building, allocation of resources related to quality assurance in development projects.
Report, intensify and mitigate risks and critical project matters related to quality and technical feasibility.
Engage and build QA capabilities with colleagues across Product Development, Engineering and Quality teams in areas of DFSS and APQP/PPAP.
In the “Quality in Development” department, we proactively assure quality in LEGO® play experiences and ensure technical feasibility, by amplifying the voice of the consumer in development of products and technologies.
In this department, you will join the “Preventive Quality Management (PQM) Mechatronics” team consisting of eight highly-skilled professionals based in Billund, Denmark. This highly collaborative and interdisciplinary quality driver team leads QA and risk mitigation in technology development programs and related projects to assure a high quality play and learning experience across LEGO products. They support development teams across business, creative and technical disciplines in developing a proactive quality mindset based on play and learning requirements and data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate brings 7-10 years of proven experience within Mechatronics, Quality Engineering, Technical Design, Project Management, Product Development and/or Technology Development in cross-functional work environment, preferably from larger global companies. You bring a strong end-to-end supply chain understanding driven from a quality angle. Furthermore, you have:
Proven experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP (Production Part Approval), DFSS (Develop for Six Sigma), or DFX (Design for X), and preferably project management experience.
Minimum Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent APQP experience.
Solid experience from interdisciplinary development activities in the industry will be an advantage.
Expertise in activating statistical tools and advanced quality tools to secure play experience and navigate tough trade-off discussions.
Ability to engage with both deep tech specialists and business leader levels, translating technical topics to quality approaches and business decisions.
Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.
Strong communication skills being proficient in English written and verbal.
Great collaboration, facilitation and engaging people skills.
Structured, systematic and self-driven work approach.
Furthermore, it would be an advantage, if you are:
Heavy IT user (MiniTab, SAP Team center and Big Data solutions).
Passion for Technology in Play and Learning solutions.
Experience from collaboration with external development partners and suppliers.
