Job Description

We are looking for a commercially minded and energised Senior Key Account Manager to lead a team of 4 and support growth in our Grocery & Department Store business at the LEGO Group!

In the role you'll be fully in charge of the respective scope of clients: From yearly customer business planning to execution of activities and be proud of seeing own working results coming to life at the POS.

Please note: This position will be based in our LEGO® Sales Office in Grasbrunn and will follow a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and up to 2 days remotely. Relocation support is not offered.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a strategic key account, ensuring revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and successful implementation of tailored strategies.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4 employees, ensuring performance alignment, skill enhancement, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

  • Deliver best-in-class account sales planning, with a focus on planning accuracy and ambitious planning through relevant activities throughout the year.

  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behaviors to find opportunities, address challenges, and continuously improve account performance.

  • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key account partners to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnership success.

  • Supervise the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, pricing models, and promotional activities to optimize visibility and sales.

  • Lead negotiations for key contracts and agreements with our partners, ensuring terms align with company objectives and promote mutual growth.

  • Coordinate with internal teams such as logistics, marketing, and customer development to ensure smooth operations and the effective execution of account strategies.

We are a deeply professional sales team collaborating effectively across Europe Central (D-A-CH) to improve the business potential of the channel, whilst building the brand through engaging online and in-store experiences targeting both consumers and shoppers.

Do you have what it takes

  • Several years of experience in managing major accounts in the German Grocery, Drug trade landscape with demonstrated success in driving sales and profitability

  • First experience in leading and developing people, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and drive high performance in a dynamic environment

  • Proven experience in account sales planning, Excel proficiency, a strong track record of driving account growth, and the ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve high planning accuracy while consistently pursuing ambitious goals

  • Expertise in combining market trends, sales performance & customer data to derive customer & channel strategies

  • Strong track record of negotiating favorable terms and maintaining productive relationships with key account customers

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively communicate strategies, goals, and performance updates to internal and external collaborators

  • Fluent German and English language skills
