Job Description

#LI-KO1

Would you be interested in helping us transform how commercial teams understand and act on business performance through advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven insights? We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to deliver end-to-end intelligence solutions — from predictive modelling to strategic reporting — that drive commercial decisions across global markets.

We do not offer financial support for relocation. This role is based in Billund, Denmark.

Come join us!

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end data science and analytics projects, from framing business problems and defining metrics to developing machine learning models, creating dashboards, and deploying production-ready solutions that create measurable business value.
  • Apply advanced statistical methods, predictive modelling, and machine learning techniques — including classification, regression, ensemble methods, and deep learning — to uncover opportunities, identify risks, and solve complex commercial challenges across products, channels, customers, and markets.
  • Design and implement MLOps workflows and analytics pipelines using MLflow, Unity Catalog, Databricks Model Serving, and data marketplace tools like Collibra to ensure scalable, reliable, and discoverable solutions.
  • Create compelling data visualisations and commercial narratives using PowerBI, Databricks AI/BI Dashboards, and other frontend tools that bring both descriptive insights and predictive intelligence to life for business stakeholders.
  • Develop and deploy Generative AI solutions, including RAG architectures, agentic workflows, and LLM-powered applications, to enhance commercial analytics, automation, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Own and continuously improve global performance tracking, predictive analytics, and reporting processes by designing semantic metrics, developing data products, and ensuring consistency and trust across markets and channels.
  • Collaborate across teams — including Global Commercial Development, Analytics & Insights, Data Office, Data Science, and Digital Products — to ensure data science and analytics solutions align with business processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor junior data scientists and analysts, facilitate workshops, and share domain expertise to maximise the team's collective impact on commercial outcomes.

Play your part in our team succeeding

This pivotal role bridges the gap between technical data capabilities and commercial business needs, ensuring stakeholders have the insights they need to make informed decisions.  You will drive the quality and consistency of commercial analytics while building strong partnerships with business teams across global markets.

  • Expert proficiency in Python, SQL and PySpark, version control tools like GitHub, and data visualisation tools such as PowerBI and Databricks AI/BI Dashboards.
  • Strong skills in data wrangling, modelling, and data visualisation — with an ability to balance speed and quality in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Experience with full analytics and ML lifecycle — feature engineering, model development, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and semantic metric design — with experience in MLOps practices and data quality management.
  • Experience or familiarity with Databricks, Agile Framework, Asset Bundles, MLOps Stacks, GitHub actions and Generative AI is a highly valued.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI technologies, including RAG architectures, prompt engineering, LLM fine-tuning, and agentic frameworks is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills to synthesise complex data science methods and findings into clear, persuasive narratives for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, identify high-value use cases, manage priorities, and deliver high-impact results.
  • A collaborative, positive mindset and experience coaching, mentoring, or facilitating workshops with junior team members.
