About this role

Job Description

  • Sustainable Operations is the global department within the LEGO Group that lead the change journey on reducing the environmental impact of our factories. We lead, design and implement balanced solutions primarily within energy/CO2, water, and waste - in a circular attitude. Sustainable Operations is moreover responsible for handling the global portfolio for CO2, energy, water, and waste reductions, tracking of realized reductions towards zero-impact.

What your day will look like:

  • To define projects from start to end, following the LEGO® Project Model (LPM) framework and the partners’ requested needs and requirements: purpose, objective, scope, deliverables, dependencies, and constraints by crafting the Argument in alignment with the Steering Committee.
  • Be accountable of the planning, execution, and control of the assigned projects, defined by the Steering Committee (scope, schedule, cost, quality) and to the LPM, by handling the guidelines and standard processes applicable, including timely communication to all levels and accurate closure and documentation of all project elements (lessons learned, ops. Documents, benefits harvest, etc.).
  • Perform adequate partner management by identifying, communicating and collaborating with all related departments, customers and team members involved in Global or Local sustainability projects; including coordination of tasks with Operations and Engineering areas, to ensure the accurate level of engagement in the project.
  • Responsible to define and build a temporarily organization; identify and solicit the needed resources (material, budget and labor) for the assigned projects, by defining the needed roles & responsibilities in order to achieve the objectives; includes partnering with Financial Controller to handle budget approval and control.
  • Be accountable of the objectives’ completion for the project by the identification, definition, alignment and approval of project requirements and changes from relevant partners; as well as definition and follow-up of adequate critical metrics with the partnering areas to ensure accurate handover to the receiving organization.
  • Be accountable of the contractor and suppliers’ work, making sure the best quality is delivered by supervising, coordinating and delegating the right resources (internal and external) looking to minimize idle time and assuring that all LEGO related processes are met (EHS, Security, Procurement, Legal, LEGO Standards, etc.).
  • Act as the link and go-to person between Sustainable Operations, local facilities, global projects, and other local partners in manufacturing, procurement ect; by actively participating in workshops, providing mentorship, technical information, requirements, standards and supporting other areas’ activities and projects.
  • Lead all aspects of and assist with local sustainability projects that align with the company's strategic priorities and Project Portfolio. This includes developing processes to prioritize, standardize, streamline, measure, and improve project activities in line with Global LPM standards and governance.

Are you up for the challenge?

  • Experience in environmental, construction, engineering and/or production project management.
  • Proficient in construction project preparation and initiation: feasibility study, budgeting, risk and impact assessment, and tendering process management.
  • Capability in developing technical proposals, comparison, risk assessment, value engineering, and prioritization of proposals for decision making.
  • Capability in converting technical plans into commercial budgets and resource planning; leading technical evaluation processes, development of risk assessment and impact assessment based on user requirements.
