Assistant Teacher – Early Childhood Education
Pay: $16–$18 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

About The Learning Experience
The Learning Experience – Jenison is seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our center offers a warm, supportive environment where children learn through play, exploration, and hands-on discovery.

Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Assist with implementing the L.E.A.P. Curriculum, engaging children in play-based learning and daily routines.
- Help guide classroom activities including circle time, sensory play, early literacy, art, and outdoor exploration.
- Build positive relationships with children and families through daily communication and a friendly, professional presence.
- Assist with meal times, diapering or toileting, classroom organization, and maintaining safety and cleanliness.
- Work collaboratively with center leadership to uphold licensing standards and classroom quality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare program preferred.
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training available).
- Must meet all Michigan childcare licensing requirements.
- Dependable, team-oriented, and passionate about early learning.

The Learning Experience - Jenison is located across the street from the Georgetown Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. Our state-of-the-art daycare and preschool center opened in June of 2022. Since 2002, The Learning Experience has been positively impacting the lives of children ages six weeks to six years by developing and implementing ground-breaking childcare and early education programs. Our proprietary curriculum encourages children to learn in their favorite way: by exploring and doing. This forms a foundation for kids to Learn, Play and Grow under the care of our nurturing teachers.
