Storeroom Clerk Job Description

Department:  Maintenance                                            

Position Type: Hourly                Hourly Wage: $23.85

Function: Operations

The statements included in this Position Description reflect, in general, the duties and responsibilities of this position and are not to be interpreted as being all inclusive. The focus should be on the position and not the current incumbent.

SUMMARY: Receive; supervise and issue all parts related to the stock room, in addition this position, will be responsible for assisting maintenance in basic tasks as assigned.

Crucial duties and responsibilities:

Receive and verify shipping materials as against shipping invoices Label and record parts with SAP number Dispatch and record parts from the stockroom as per work order Perform physical verification and counting of stocks to insure accuracy Physically inspect the products and merchandise for damages or breakages Assist maintenance with basic tasks as needed including but not limited to: Lubrication, rebuild, CBM, etc Ability to drive and operate forklifts Maintains good housekeeping Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned.

This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.

Teamwork/Collaboration – Working optimally with team/work group or those outside the formal line of authority (e.g., peers, senior managers) to accomplish organizational goals; taking actions that respect the needs and contributions of others; contributing to and accepting the consensus; subordinating own objectives to the objectives of the organization or team. Computer Literate – Must have a strong solid understanding and ability of computer base programs including Outlook, Excel, Word and SAP.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the capabilities above a good candidate will possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi task, a basic understanding of mechanic parts and how they work.

WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Personal Protective Equipment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to wear appropriate company-issued safety and GMP equipment, including: steel toe shoes that are also slip resistant, hearing protection, bump cap, and other personal protective equipment.
