Position Summary
This position is accountable for the overall management of dispatch operations and execution of the service plan for each customer and for the region.
Essential Functions
Manage all aspects of dispatch operations
Develop operating plans
Establish and hold staff accountable for key performance measures such as volume generation, service performance, load ratio, and claims performance
Establish long term customer relationships and identify growth opportunities
Liaison between field operations and customers
Attract and retain talent
Interview and hire dispatchers
Discipline, complete performance reviews and establish corrective actions
Ensure all associates follow established safety procedures
QualificationsQualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience
5 years of transportation experience
20% travel
