PURPOSE:

Under the supervision of the Senior Director, Capital Projects, the Director of Capital Projects will be responsible for the overall planning, organizing and management of all capital projects. A person in this role is considered “Essential Personnel” for the agency. Experience should include time worked in service-related industries such as education, hospitality, commercial / residential property, not for profit, healthcare etc.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Construction Manager, Capital Projects is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of capital project job sites. This role ensures that all projects—whether newly initiated or evolving from complex operations—adhere to agency, city, and state standards. Working closely with the Director, Capital Projects, the Senior Manager will lead property visits, conduct quality and safety inspections, and oversee the field performance of contractors. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record with a minimum of six completed and verifiable projects, each valued at over $3 million, and possess a solid background in Superintendent or Field Project Management responsibilities.
