We are seeking caring, compassionate caregivers to provide personal care (PCA and PCW), and homemaking services as directed by the client. You’ll perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction and supervision of the therapist/Registered Nurse (RN), as well as personal and household services essential to health care at home.

The Independence Center is a local nonprofit that provides traditional and self-directed home health care for people with disabilities. Our mission is to work with people with disabilities, their families, and the community to create independence so all may thrive. As a caregiver and a member of our Home Health Care team, you’ll truly be making a difference.
Job Responsibilities of the Caregiver
Simple procedures for caregivers: May include range of motion exercises, bowel program/digital stimulation, urinary catheter care, wound care, etc.
Personal care activities for caregivers: May include bathing, shampooing, skin/nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, etc.
Household care for caregivers: May include meal preparation/feeding, laundry duties, and light housekeeping (e.g. doing dishes, cleaning bathroom, emptying trash, etc.).
