Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. The Division

The Security, Integrity and Information Security (SIIS) Division is responsible for the Club’s integrity by combatting criminality, corruption, and information security risks, including cyber security that may impact business. Through robust governance and proactive security measures, SIIS is dedicated to maintaining a secure environment and upholding uncompromising integrity across Club operations.

Job Summary

The job holder is responsible for conducting daily anti-doping activities and ensuring all operations carried out in Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland comply with the Rules of Racing and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). To ensure the chain of evidence during anti-operation operation is intact.

The Job

• Assist supervisors to manage / conduct daily measures relating to anti-doping operations for horses, jockeys and applicable Club's prospective employees in both Hong Kong and Mainland
• Counter check the collected sample and to make sure accurate information is recorded and documented before onward submission
• Document all sampling operations in appropriate records
• Ensure sufficient provision and maintenance of the operational equipment for all related duties
• Be responsible for the administration work of the team and work with various stakeholders
• Carry out ad-hoc duty as assigned by supervisors
• Support sampling operations for CRC, including: Delivery of horse and human samples from CRC to the Racing Laboratory; Provision of assistance in facilitating cross-borders Customs Clearance; Delivery training in terms of sampling operation
• Perform duties in strict compliance with the Club's applicable Rules and departmental SOPs. Assist Veterinary Officer and/or Surgeon or Racing staff member in horse and human sample collections in both Hong Kong and Conghua Racecourse (CRC)
• Response to incidents and compile incident reports; and provide applicable recommendations to strive for constant improvement of operation

About You

• A post-Secondary education
• At least 3 years relevant working experience of which at least one year at security business for Officer role
• A valid Hong Kong driving license class 1 & 2 is preferred
• Ability to speak and write simple English and Mandarin
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable with and work well in a collaborative, team-based setting
• Competence and literacy with computers
• Flexibility to work shift duties including holidays and at odd hours.
