Shift: Sunday to Tuesday and every other Wednesday (5.00 AM - 4.30 PM)
Position Overview:
The Area Coordinator will work very closely with the Operations Manager (OM) or Assistant Manager (AM) to create a high-performing team within their functional area of responsibility. The Area Coordinator will play a key role in organizing and coordinating work activities as per the daily production plan set by the OM/AM and/or Assistant General Manager. They will be actively involved in problem-solving to keep outbound trucks flowing through the building. This person will assist the OM/AM with assigning work to associates and shifting resources within the team as required to help maintain a balanced workflow within their area.

• Helps coordinate the deployment of people, equipment and/or tools based on the agreed plan with OM/AM.
• Effectively interacts and collaborates with other functional departments and peers to ensure the building is effectively balanced.

Working Conditions:
• Working a set schedule.
• Warehouse environment that can be dusty and noisy.
• Passing forklifts emit gas fumes.
• Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes.
Minimum Education:
• High school Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Years of Work Experience:
• 1 to 2 years distribution centre experience an asset
Minimum Leadership Experience:
• N/A
Certifications:
• N/A
Other Requirements/Assets:
• Knowledge of operating forklifts is an asset.
• Previous experience with Warehouse Management System (eMS) SAP applications is an asset.
