Job Description:
The Assistant Manager of Retail oversees all "back of house" shop and café operations. This position maximizes sales and profitability by managing the maintenance of the Shopify e-commerce store, inventory receiving and counts, technology, and assisting with training and financials.
This is a full-time position, Friday to Tuesday.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position, move throughout the properties and in other settings, operate a computer and other office machinery, ascend/descend and traverse heights and low levels, position self to work at a workstation and in small areas, and monitor the movement of or personally move objects to low, medium and/or high levels. Regularly move objects of up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds. This position consistently communicates with customers and others and observes, inspects, and assesses inventory and sales documents/information.
The Historic New Orleans Collection is a museum, research center, and publisher dedicated to the study and preservation of the history and culture of New Orleans and the Gulf South region. General and Mrs. L. Kemper Williams, collectors of Louisiana materials, established the institution in 1966 to keep their collection intact and available for research and exhibition to the public.
