Job Summary

 

The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring continual flow of production material to meet or exceed production standards.

 

Essential Job Functions *

 

  • Turns machine on/off.
  • Operates hopper, bowl, and track to allow continual flow of parts.
  • Ensures parts are lined up on magnets correctly.
  • Monitors machine to identify and dislodge parts that become jammed.
  • Isolates non-conforming material in red bin and reports this to Q.A. Assistant.
  • Cleans machine, pump, bowl, and surrounding area.
  • Monitor’s bin or cartons receiving finished product.
  • Ensures that training is provided to the appropriate employees.
  • Ensures proper protective equipment is worn by employees.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Support and follow internal health and safety programs and protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education & Experience

 

  • Secondary school diploma or higher.
  • Previous experience working in Manufacturing is an asset.

 

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

  • Heavy lifting may be required (up to 35 lbs).
  • Must have an eye for detail.
  • Communication skills – written, verbal and ability to read and understand internal documents.
