Position Title: Analyst, GTO Salty & Canada
Reports To: Associate Manager, US & Canada Global Trade Operations
Department: North America Supply Chain
The Analyst, Global Trade Operations is responsible for supporting the daily internal operations related to Importer/Exporter of Record activities while ensuring full compliance with Customs and Participating Government Agencies (PGA) regulations. This role oversees imports and exports primarily for consumption, with occasional in-transit movements.
Key duties include scheduling duty payments, monitoring release messages from Customs, coordinating with transportation providers, and resolving border holds. The role requires working knowledge of Free Trade Agreements, the Safe Food for Canadians Act, Canadian Food Inspection Agency requirements, CBSA importation processes, as well as US‑to‑Canada customs procedures, statutory timelines, and admissibility requirements.
This position must proactively prevent delays at the border by ensuring complete and accurate documentation, including tariff classification, valuation, and country-of-origin details. The role demands urgency and prioritization due to the unpredictable nature of customs and CIFA exams, as well as consistent communication with Warehousing, S&OP, and QA teams.
The Analyst will also be responsible for managing sample order shipments worldwide, monitoring the end-to-end process from order creation to delivery, and coordinating with internal teams, carriers, brokers, and customers.
Additional responsibilities include evaluating customs broker performance through defined metrics, implementing and reviewing KPIs, completing monthly CARM reports, reconciling duties and fees, and maintaining a consolidated report of all import/export transactions to ensure visibility and supplier payment accuracy.
