Roles & Responsibilities:

• Process control and trouble shooting of calendering process.
• Conduct process audit, prepare and issue report of deviation and work CFT for corrective action
• Ensure compliance to global speicification, procedures and quality assurance instructions.
• Control & management of friction waste
• Conducting weekly click out study of low,medium and high gauge fabric & fabric defects.
• Monitor and study the treatment length and weight study by Schuster chart.
• Maintain the process Guidelines Specification.
• Has good understanding of compound and process influences on tack.
• Has good understanding of compound processing, Calender Speed,roll temperatures & Wind up temperature
• Has good understanding of the impact of compound changes either from the plant or other outside influences..
• Has good understanding of fabric denier and physical properties of dipped fabric.
• Good understading of Raw materials and their impact in mixing and further processing .
• Good understanding of compound mixing & mixing cycle time optimization.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required in this role.
• Strong knowledge in Tire compound features, Compound Testing requirements, Tire performance requirements, Trouble shooting, Operational Excellence, Safety and Environment, A3 DMAIC proficiency, Ability to identify & utilize corporate resources.
• Knowledge of compound mixing & tire will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of Calendaring process.
• Bias Tire Industry knowledge is required
• Knowledge of Compounding and raw material, Analytical , statistic competency ,computer competency is needed.
• Assertive, Demanding, Good Time management and Collaborative skills, Good Communication skills, Ownership & Accountability.
