About this role

This position will be a member of Information Technology organization, reporting to an IT team leader. The .NET Developer will deliver software solutions to the customer in support of business needs. Typical activity could include but not limited to: adding new software feature functionality, identifying and fixing software flaws, generating unit tests, writing functional tests, performing upgrades, migrating data, applying 3rd party software patches, delivering service requests and providing incident coverage. The incumbent will also provide early life cycle support during upgrades and beta releases on production servers.

The .NET Developer can apply standard programming procedure and detailed knowledge of pertinent subject matter to a sub-system area. They will work according to approved specifications. These work assignments will require analysis, investigation, objectivity, and creativity in arriving at a solution. The .NET Developer must be able to apply knowledge of current technologies and methodologies (Agile, XP, or similar) with business subject matter to develop potential technical solutions. This position will influence peers through focused learning exercises, general collaboration of ideas, and experimentation. 

What You’ll Do

  • You will develop and release digital business solutions to support key business functions for R&D, testing systems, engineering, and manufacturing platforms, using proper design patterns within software application code and continually refactoring as necessary.

  • You will develop and complete unit tests to support production code using test-driven development techniques.

  • You will work with product owners and team members to understand requirements, monitor code quality and technical debt, and ensure agreed-upon targets are met.

  • You will perform troubleshooting and investigation activities related to technology incidents, outages, and bugs, developing break-fix solutions for issues with non-obvious root causes and diagnosing and correcting errors without known causes.

  • You will provide advice and implement secure technical solutions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, and write and maintain all documentation supporting your primary area of responsibility.

  • You will expand the use of current information technologies, techniques, and processes as they apply to Goodyear, while increasing the breadth and depth of your technical knowledge by continuously expanding your knowledge base.

What We’re Looking For

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • You have 5–7 years of experience developing with VB.NET, C#, and other .NET technologies, including Entity Framework.

  • You have experience using code repositories such as SVN, GitHub, or equivalent tools.

  • You have experience with modern CI/CD toolchains such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.

  • You have experience with JavaScript (preferred but not required).

  • You are fluent in SQL and writing queries using LINQ or similar methods, preferably with MSSQL.

  • You have experience with Siemens Teamcenter (preferred but not required).

  • You preferably have experience using cloud technologies, containers/container orchestration, and AI.

  • You have basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office product suite.

  • You have an understanding of the supported business process area and demonstrate continued growth in understanding company culture and business practices.

  • You are able to work under broad supervision and interact regularly with user representatives.

  • You are able to build strong customer relationships through the delivery of stable, working solutions and effective follow-up.

  • You have strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

  • You are able to complete assignments on time and with minimal errors.

  • You are amenable to report onsite 2x a week in BGC, Taguig City.

  • You are willing to work on a mid-shift schedule.
