About this role

The Americas' Lead Financial Analyst is responsible for managing month‑end close processes and supporting quarter‑end consolidated financial accounting and reporting to ensure full compliance with internal and external requirements. This role collaborates extensively with cross‑functional teams within Goodyear and partners with accounting personnel across international business units. It carries a strong emphasis on complex accounting matters and plays a key role in maintaining accurate, timely financial information.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee financial statement closing activities for the Americas Region, including monitoring progress, resolving issues, and ensuring strong internal controls.

  • Manage key close areas such as restructuring‑related accounts, EBIT reporting, and unusual items submitted to Corporate.

  • Supervise and review selected monthly account reconciliations and journal entries.

  • Act as a primary liaison to Latin America on accounting matters tied to the close process and reconciliations.

  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support business operations across Goodyear.

  • Manage Americas‑related inputs for Goodyear’s global reporting to Corporate.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

  • 5+ years of accounting and auditing experience, ideally within a large public accounting firm or major manufacturing organization.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, strong analytical and organizational capabilities, and the ability to interpret and apply U.S. GAAP while working with complex data.

  • Background in FP&A, cost center management, and operations‑focused finance, with a desired working knowledge of SAP and Hyperion.
