A Day In The Life
The Compensation & Retirement Analyst I provides analytical and administrative support for company compensation and retirement benefit programs under the guidance of the Sr. Manager, Compensation & Retirement. This entry-level role supports day-to-day administration, data analysis, and compliance activities related to retirement plans and compensation programs. The Analyst I collaborates with internal partners and external vendors, resolves routine issues, and assists with projects while developing deeper expertise in compensation and retirement benefits.

 

As a Comp & Ret Analyst I you will:

  • Assists with the administration and maintenance of retirement benefit programs, including the 401(k), SIMPLE IRA, and Executive Deferred Compensation plans.
  • Supports compliance activities by working with vendors, auditors, and internal partners; assists with plan testing, audits, and required filings.
  • Uses HRIS, vendor platforms, and Excel to support plan administration, including payroll files, benefit funding, and loan tracking; identifies and escalates discrepancies as needed.
  • Responds to routine associate and vendor inquiries related to compensation and retirement benefits, escalating complex issues appropriately.
  • Assists with the preparation of employee communications and educational materials related to compensation and retirement programs.
  • Performs basic to moderate data analysis related to compensation and benefits, including reconciliations, audits, and reporting.
  • Supports compensation processes such as job evaluations, market pricing, survey participation, and compensation-related projects.
  • Assists with international retirement and benefit administration, including new hire notifications, payroll deductions, and vendor file submissions.
  • Participates in assigned projects, supporting timelines, documentation, and coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders. May lead smaller-scale projects with guidance and support from the team.
  • Contributes to process improvement efforts by documenting procedures and identifying opportunities for efficiency.

 

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferably in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Req
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in compensation, benefits, HR analytics, payroll, or a related HR function, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Basic knowledge of compensation and retirement benefit concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive data accurately.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop expertise in compensation and retirement programs.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)-IFEBP

Physical and Environmental RequirementsThe physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
