Test Technician

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We want you as a talented Test Technician to help us in our mission by helping bring our next-generation propulsion systems to life.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare, assemble, and inspect mechanical and fluidic systems for cryogenic engine testing

• Support integration and instrumentation of engines and subsystems on the test bench

• Operate and monitor test bench systems during test campaigns

• Handle cryogenic fluids (e.g., LN₂, LOX, CH₄), high-pressure gases, and hazardous operations following strict procedures

• Participate in the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of test equipment and infrastructure

• Assist in test procedure execution and data logging

• Contribute to safety reviews, risk assessments, and operational readiness checks

• Support post-test disassembly, inspections, and hardware documentation

What we would love to see from you:

• BTS/DUT or "Licence professionnelle" in mechanical, aerospace, cryogenics, or a related field

• Previous experience in a test environment (preferably engine or cryogenic testing)

• Rigorous, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented

• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

• Comfortable working in outdoor or industrial environments and with PPE

• Basic data acquisition and test monitoring experience (e.g. LabVIEW)

• Minimum of intermediate working proficiency in English (French is an asset).
