About this role

Job Title: 3D Generalist / Unreal Engine Specialist
Focus: Visual storytelling & Simulation
Overview: As a 3D Generalist at ePlane, you will bridge the gap between engineering and marketing. You will take raw CAD data and transform it into compelling visual assets for our website, social media, and investor communications.

Responsibilities: 
Asset Pipeline: Optimize engineering CAD models for use in real-time engines (UE5).
Environment Creation: Design and build realistic 3D environments (sky, terrain, city) for aircraft context using Quixel Megascans and custom assets.
Lighting & Rendering: Set up studio lighting and realistic outdoor lighting scenarios to showcase the aircraft.
Animation: Create smooth camera movements and basic object animation (propeller spin, landing gear retraction) for product videos.
Post-Processing: Use compositing tools (After Effects/Davinci) to polish raw renders.

Requirements: 
● Strong portfolio showcasing hard-surface modeling and realistic rendering.
● Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 (Sequencer, Material Editor, Lumen/Nanite) is a must.
● Proficiency in Blender/Maya (Modeling, Texturing).
● Understanding of composition, color theory, and visual storytelling.
● Ability to work fast and iterate on feedback.
