Behavioral Health Technician (Full-time, Evening/Overnight)

That’s why our teams are comprised of compassionate, dedicated professionals from a variety of backgrounds who collaborate to provide the very best evidence-based care for our clients at all levels of care.&nbsp;</p></div><p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p> <p>Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT’s) monitor and assist adolescent clients in the residential milieu, lead activities designed to help the residents adjust to living in a community setting and assist the residents in gaining the skills needed to manage their eating disorder. BHT’s play an integral role in the day-to-day function of the clients’ experience.</p> <p><strong>Schedule</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full Time 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) Evening/Overnight</li> <li>Evening Shifts: 2pm-10:30pm, 4pm-12:30am</li> <li>Overnight Shifts: 10pm-6:30am</li> <li>Every other weekend required (Saturday &amp; Sunday)</li> <li>Schedule is made a month at a time with a combination of both evening and overnight shifts&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation Disclosure</strong></p> <ul> <li>BHT I: Starting hourly range between $18.00-$21.00</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position</em></strong></p> <p><strong>How BHT’s Empower Recovery</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partners with the multi-disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting or assisting clients in programming</li> <li>Participates in therapeutic meals and snacks and provides support during structured outings and recreation</li> <li>Available to engage, challenge, and support residents as needed. Reports observations and documents in charts</li> <li>Monitors and supports bathroom use per client treatment direction. Monitors and documents exercise.</li> <li>Responsible for enforcing appropriate policies with residents and completing all expected tasks including hourly room-checks</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Minnesota Requirements:</strong></p> <p>· An Associate’s degree in a mental health–related field (such as mental or behavioral health, counseling, or behavioral sciences) is required to meet Minnesota DHS licensure standards for the Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker classification.</p> <p>Or</p> <p>· A high school diploma and at least one year / 2,000 hours of direct patient care experience in a mental or behavioral health setting is also required.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Professional Qualifications:</strong></p> <p>· This is an entry-level position; however, 6+ months of direct client care / milieu experience in a mental/behavioral health or healthcare setting, particularly with eating disorders is preferred.</p> <p>· Completion of Preceptor Program preferred.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Other Qualifications:</strong></p> <p>· Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites must have a valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.</p> <p>· Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.</p> <p>· Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.</p> <p>· Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites in North Carolina or Georgia are required to have a current CPI certification within 30 days of hire.</p> <p>· Employees at Residential site in Washington are required to have a Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit within 30 days of hire.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>What we offer:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Employee Benefits:</strong> We understand the importance of a well-rounded benefits package.
