TITLE: Arena Operations Intern
Part-Time
DESCRIPTION: Resume is required for consideration
Under direct supervision of the Operations Supervisors/Managers, this position will perform routine duties associated with the day-to-day operations of the arena, event setup and strike, and assist with event management and administrative duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work as part of a team to assist with event setups and conversions, including but not limited to: staging and set up of tables, chairs, barricades and barriers, dasher boards, and ice cover.
· Setup events based on diagrams and managers instruction.
· Assist in the preparations of building to meet the requirements of events and shows, including but not limited to: document preparation and distribution, conversion planning, staffing and movement plans.
· Assists Event Services with day of event needs.
· Report to and assist Operations Manager with daily tasks and assigned duties.
· Assist various arena departments as needed, including but not limited to: Event Services, Guest Service, Housekeeping, Security, and Production.
· Work a flexible schedule, including late nights, early mornings, weekends and some holidays as needed.
· Lifts moderate to heavy amounts of weight in the form of but not limited to tables, chairs, stages, barricade, stanchions, staging, basketball court panels, ice cover panels, and exhibition materials.
· Operate necessary machinery such as forklifts, man lifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks as necessary.
· All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Ability to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules (including nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours).
· Possession of or access to reliable transportation.
· Physical ability to regularly lift 25-50lbs and walk extensively throughout duration of shift.
· Physical ability to bend, squat, kneel, and walk throughout duration of shift.
· Knowledge of customer service practices.
