Team Lead Business Analyst
Position Description

The ideal candidate will have a very strong background in IT Business Analysis and will be responsible for leading a team of Business Analysts while delivering complex business analysis initiatives across the organization. In this position, the candidate must have the ability to learn quickly about the business and the supporting applications from the inside out, while providing guidance to the team.
Organizational Relationships
The Team Lead Business Analyst will work closely with both the business and IT stakeholders to help set the direction in the process of gathering and documenting requirements, that aligns with the existing standards and procedures. The role will be both technical and business orientated, as such requirements gathering can be system driven or business operationally driven. The Team Lead Business Analyst is also expected to play an active role in assisting the project management teams that support the various initiatives for the organization.
Principal Accountabilities
Team Lead:
Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
Ensure consistent application of established BA best practices, standards, and methodologies.
Always looking out for and championing improvement opportunities to help the team in their BA activities.
Review and approve deliverables from team members ensuring quality and consistency.
Manage stakeholder relationships across business and technology teams, on assigned projects.
Work with different stakeholders to ensure successful rollout of solutions to target teams or business units.
Coordinate with cross-functional leadership teams to ensure our BA standards adhere to set procedures and policies that promote consistency, compliance, and risk management practices.
Requirements Gathering
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and lead discussions with stakeholders to brainstorm solutions, gather requirements and assess feasibility.
Own and review solution design documents that clearly articulate Problem Statements, As-Is & To-Be states, User Stories, Proto-Types & Success Criteria.
Drive requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for assigned enterprise-level projects.

Background / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent work experience.
Ability to work in fast paced, complex Business & IT environments.
Well-rounded individual possessing a high degree of initiative.
Proactive person willing to accept responsibility with very little handholding.
Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written English.
Previous Work Experience:
Minimum six years’ experience as a Lead Business Analyst, with demonstrated success in large-scale transformation projects preferably within the Financial Services sector, required.
At minimum, two years of experience of BA Leadership or Team Lead, required.
Advanced knowledge in BA methodologies and tools – experience in JIRA, Confluence is desirable.
Very strong experience with process modeling and requirements documentation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Self-motivated professional, capable of working independently in a global environment.
Ability to set priorities, while being flexible and with a high degree of accuracy.
Other:
Professional certifications in (CBAP, PMP, or similar).
Agile methodology and change management experience.
Flexibility in work schedule according to project and business needs.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
Ability to travel as needed (< 25%).
Perform other duties as assigned.
