As a core member of our Product Development team you will work with dedicated professionals to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information assets while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends.
Your Role:
In this role, the Junior Developer will deliver applications that support the automation strategies of the Support Systems Engineering team for Citco Fund Services. This incorporates a product suite which supports Citco’s monitoring strategy, operational automation and transparency, and self-service strategies. The Support Systems Engineering group has a mandate to drive automation and best-practice operating strategies in the Technology Division
This role partners with application owners, development and QA leads, applications support and infrastructure teams to ensure applications are operated in our production environment in a highly reliable and cost-effective manner. The development includes both .NET-stack web development, as well as applications utilizing Python and React in the AWS platform.
- You will be delivering software to improve monitoring, availability, scalability and efficiency of Citco services
- You will influence and create new designs, architectures, standards and methods for large-scale distributed systems
- You will contribute to automated build process
- You will handle systems documentation and knowledge base management
- You will provide engineering support for the current application stack
About You:
The successful candidate is an energetic and effective team contributor with a passion for software development, new technologies and automation. Must have familiarity with best practices in application management, and confidence in designing and developing modern applications
Experience and Technical Skills
- You have a Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- You have 1-2 years of professional hands-on experience of the full SDLC of enterprise application development
- You have familiarity with the .Net stack: C#, SQL Server, IIS, MVC, Web API, .Net Core
- You have familiarity working with and integrating with Oracle and Postgres databases
- You have experience with frontend JavaScript, React.js, Typescript or similar
- Exposure to Python is a plus
- AWS or other cloud knowledge is desirable
- Experience with Docker is a plus
- Technology Certifications are a plus
- You have the ability to identify and fix bugs and defects. Basic understanding of code tuning and optimization.
- You have the ability to work with developers / senior developers to estimate task duration and complexity.
- You are self-motivated and driven, with strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- You have demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and training
