Chemours is seeking an Operations Manager (Monomer) to join our growing Operations team! This position will report directly to the Plant Manager at our Parkersburg, WV location.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead operation of the Monomer area in a safe, PSM compliant, and environmentally sound manner

  • Lead the unit to set and meet production schedule, yield, up-time, quality, and transformation objectives

  • Manage monthly cost performance and lead fixed cost reduction efforts

  • Lead and set high performance standards and operating discipline for the organization

  • Develop and ensure that supply plans and performance meets both internal supply and external sales expectations

  • Drive continuous improvement toward increased competitiveness

  • Manage employee and labor relations consistent with corporate and local policies

  • Develop team members for future assignments

  • Create a safe and respectful work environment that allows everyone to contribute to their full potential

  • Effectively communicate business direction and goals to gain organizational alignment.

The following is required for this role:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree.

  • 7+ years of experience in Operations. 

  • 3+ years of leadership experience.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work with a diverse population of employees and contractors.

  • Strong Process Safety Management (PSM) skills in HHP operations.

  • Solid understanding of site safety procedures and corporate safety philosophy.

  • Understanding of key environmental regulatory and permit requirements impacting the production facility.

The following is preferred for this role:

  • Bachelor's in an Engineering Disciplining (High Preference for Chemical Engineering).

  • Project leadership / management experience.

  • Chemical plant operations OR Military Equivalent Experience.

  • Experience in a High Hazard Process manufacturing experience.

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other Continuous Improvement certification.

  • Knowledgeable in Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contractually binding documents.

  • Familiarity with the SAP for finance/cost management.

  • Familiarity with the Work Management Process (WMP).

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work with a diverse population of employees and contractors.

  • Strong Process Safety Management (PSM) skills in HHP operations.

  • Solid understanding of site safety procedures and corporate safety philosophy.

  • Understanding of key environmental regulatory and permit requirements impacting the production facility.

  • Understanding of quality systems and finished product quality requirements.

  • Experience in driving results and accountability.

Pay Range (in local currency):

$141,120.00 - $220,500.00

Annual Bonus Target:

16%

The pay range and incentives listed above is a general guideline based on the primary location of this job only and not a guarantee of total compensation. Factors considered in extending a compensation offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, and alignment with market data. The incentive pay is dependent on business results and individual performance and subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
