We are considering Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists for this role at this time.

Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the Director of Rehabilitation is to plan, coordinate and manage the rehab department in order to ensure that the highest level of patient care is provided and maintained.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures rehab department is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations
Ensures patients records and reports are maintained up to federal, state, local and Company’s regulations
Provides education and training for PT, OT and SLP staff on the facility’s related policies and procedures
Manages the rehab department and staffing within the budget
Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator and HR as required concerning the operation of the rehab department
Coordinates and participates in care plan meetings
Handles complaints/issues in a timely manner
Performs administrative duties as required by the position
Monitor the facility’s survey reports and assist in developing plans of action to correct potential or identified problem areas
Responsible for, in conjunction with HR, the recruitment and selection of Rehab Staff
Experience and Specific Requirements:
Must be a licensed PT or OT (Pay is dependent on level of licensure and leadership experience)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership position in skilled nursing facility, preferred
Excellent communication skills and the ability to have difficult conversations while maintaining compassion
Must be self-motivated and have excellent follow-through
Have the ability to multi task and keep a calm demeanor even in chaotic situations
Must be able to maintain confidential information
Be a champion of positivity and high morale
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
