Position: Landscape Crew Member
Location: Private Educational Institution – Lynchburg, VA
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Occasional weekend shifts required for events or seasonal needs)
About the Role
Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in creating beautiful, safe environments? We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Crew Member to maintain our historic and scenic campus. This isn't just "mowing grass"—you will be an essential part of the team that ensures our students, faculty, and visitors have a world-class environment in which to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities

Turf Maintenance: Expertly handle grass cutting, weed eating, and precise edging.

Horticulture: Plant shrubs and flowers, prune trees/bushes, and maintain healthy garden beds.

Seasonal Groundskeeping: Spreading mulch, leaf removal, and general debris cleanup.

Special Projects: Assist the Landscape Supervisor with campus beautification projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
We hold our staff to a high standard to ensure the safety and professionalism of our school community.

Experience: Proven previous experience in professional landscaping or grounds maintenance is required.

Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to be on-site and ready to work by 7:00 AM.

Compliance: Must be able to pass:

A pre-employment drug screen.

A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check.

A comprehensive lifetime criminal background check.
