Location: Route Team based out of Piedmont SC
4/10's schedule Monday-Thursday 7am-5:30pm
Pay Rate: $20-24 based on experience
The Crew Leader/Foreman is responsible for leading a team in landscape maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment is maintained and operational, and supervising crew members to meet quality and safety standards. They also act as a point of contact for resolving issues and ensuring client satisfaction.
Team Management: Oversee and maintain a high level of quality in landscape work.
Proactive Management: Handle all aspects of the job, from daily operations to handling equipment and crew management.
Customer Relations: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Solution-Oriented: Act as a problem-solver to improve workflow and customer satisfaction.
Ensure tools and equipment are ready for daily use and check safety compliance.
Monitor irrigation systems and inspect plants for pests or diseases.
Supervise time management, breaks, and ensure safety procedures are followed.
Potentially perform snow and ice removal duties during appropriate seasons.
Manage the operation of various equipment, including mowers, blowers, and heavy machinery.
Oversee the application of fertilizers, training of crew members, and transport of materials.
Supervise 3-5 employees, provide training, and ensure safe and efficient work practices.
Contribute suggestions for improving productivity and job quality.
Experience: At least 2 years in landscape maintenance and preferably 1 year in a leadership role
Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English. (Bilingual in Spanish: A plus)
Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to follow instructions and solve problems with clear, standardized solutions.
Licensing: Must hold a valid SC driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs regularly, 100 lbs occasionally), and working in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
Regular exposure to machinery and outside elements, including fumes, dust, and noise.
Typical landscape maintenance conditions including exposure to loud noise, vibration, moving parts, and harsh weather conditions.
This role is physically demanding and requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in varying weather and outdoor condition
