Trans Global is actively seeking to expand our service team. We need people with a great customer focused attitude! As a Claims Examiner you will report to the Manager of Insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Claims Examiner for specialty line of insurance

  • Creation and maintenance of all new claim files

  • Decisions on approval of claims – working directly with the Manager of Insurance

  • Provide best-in-class customer service on very sensitive insurance claims

  • Explanation of claims process to clients

  • Correspondence with the insured clients’ employers, physicians and hospitals if necessary

  • Communication with all of TGI’s partners and credit card companies with respect to payments on client accounts

  • Work with Staff Accountant on monthly and yearly reporting

  • Provide a front-line quality customer service

  • Meet targeted business objectives

Qualifications

  • Excellent data entry and keyboarding skills

  • Utmost discretion with confidential customer information

  • Professional phone etiquette and empathy for sensitive circumstances

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Superior organizational skills

  • Strong analytical and decision making skills

  • Strong desire to take ownership and accountability of task completion

  • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access

  • Ability to work effectively with and without supervision

  •  Basic accounting skills would be an asset

  • High School or Equivalent is required

  • 1 to 2 years in a claims processing role would be an asset

  • Post-secondary or other education related specifically to insurance industry would be an asset
