We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for assignment in Walla Walla, Washington. The selected candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on water/wastewater treatment plants, and related facilities equipment, on an assigned shift.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Electrical experience is a plus for this position
- Lubricate equipment and check for malfunctions
- Replace packing and seals in pumps or valves
- Cleaning and replacing motors
- Cleaning, replacing and rebuilding pumps and other equipment
- Examine equipment failures to identify cause and to prevent recurrences
- Install and set up new equipment
- Clean and paint interior and exterior equipment and buildings
- Clean out pipes and perform other plumbing and pipe fitting tasks as required
- Use gas and/or arc welding equipment to heat, cut, braze, or weld
- Perform duties of painter in their absence
- Keep maintenance records
- Perform other duties as required
- A valid Drivers License
- 3 - 5+ years experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment; including motors, pumps, valves, etc.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, identify electrical components and have some knowledge in troubleshooting control circuits
- Experience with VFD's and PLC / BMS controls is highly preferred
