About this role

Overview

We are seeking an Instrument and Controls Engineer for assignment in Boise, Idaho. The selected candidate will work on projects that include state of the art industrial and commercial facilities.

 

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

 

This position is on-site

This position has a pay rate of $40 - $58.50/hr

Responsibilities

- Perform regular field walks

- Attend project meetings

- Develop I&C drawings

- Construction specifications

- Specify instruments

- Write sequences of operations

- Reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications

- Producing process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), designs for electrical circuits and panels, control panel drawings and wiring diagrams

Qualifications

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering

- 4+ years experience working with Instrumentation and Controls or Life Safety Systems / Fire Protection

- Working knowledge of PLC's (Siemens), DCS and other controls applications

- Ability to generate complete I&C / LSS design packages (e.g. P&IDs, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, control narratives, etc.)

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks is a plus

- An Engineer-in-Training Certification (EIT) is a plus
