HLTA - Aurora Woodlands School
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, term time only
Salary: £15.37 to £16.78 p/hr (Actual annual salary £27,463.12 to £29,982.50) depending on experience and qualifications
Location: Aurora Woodlands, Darwen

Your role as our HLTA is to support one of our young people 1:1 by promoting learning and personal development.
Please note that duties may vary and you will be expected to contribute to the overall aims of Aurora Woodlands School when required.

Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate –
- The Higher Level Teaching Assistant Diploma or equivalent Level 4 qualification is required
- GCSE pass above C (or 4 in the new GCSE system) in English and Maths
- Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with SEN, SLD/PMLD, ADHD and ASD
- Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
- Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviours that challenge.
- Able to work within the parameters of the physical demands of the job role.
