Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.&nbsp;</p><p>Thalle is an Equal Opportunity Employer, E-Verify and Drug Free Workplace.</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Alvarado, TX</p><p><strong>Title:&nbsp;</strong>Junior Estimator</p><p><strong>Salary:&nbsp;</strong> <em>Competitive compensation package based on experience.</em></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Job Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Calculate costs based on blueprints, drawings, maps, or other reference materials provided by architects or engineers.</li><li>Utilize Bluebeam/Revit, Agtek, and Rhino to perform takeoffs of earthwork, concrete, and utilities</li><li>Compile estimates of labor costs and material costs to prepare bids for construction projects.</li><li>Communicate with vendors to obtain bids for materials and services needed for construction projects.</li><li>Review bids from vendors to ensure compliance with contract requirements.</li><li>Input takeoff information into HCSS</li><li>Assisting in selecting subcontractors or suppliers that meet specific project requirements.</li><li>Interpret plans and specs to communication project needs to the estimating team.</li><li>Work with Estimator/Senior estimator on project teams.&nbsp;</li><li>Attend pre-bid meetings.</li><li>Develop estimating meeting material books.</li><li>Learn and develop into an Estimator.</li></ul><p><strong>Past Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Previous Heavy Civil Construction experience a plus</li><li>Knowledge of estimating takeoff tools</li><li>Ability to travel</li><li>Ability to work under pressure</li><li>Microsoft Office including Excel, Project, and word</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.</li><li>Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards</li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs</li><li>Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone &nbsp;</li></ul>
