This project marks the largest contract in the Jacksonville District&rsquo;s history, valued at $2.87 billion. Thalle will oversee the construction of a 17.75-mile embankment dam and associated structures. to 22&rdquo; diameter in accordance with project specifications and manufacturer requirements.</li><li>Perform butt fusion and/or electrofusion welding of HDPE pipe using approved fusion equipment and procedures.</li><li>Safely operate and maintain HDPE pipe fusion machines, generators, facing tools, heaters, and related equipment.</li><li>Read and interpret project drawings, fusion logs, and manufacturer fusion parameters to ensure proper installation and weld integrity.</li><li>Conduct fusion welds that meet or exceed quality standards, including visual inspection and documentation requirements.</li><li>Assist with trenching, bedding, pipe placement, tie-ins, and backfill operations as required.</li><li>Follow all company safety policies, including taking specific action to avoid other workers, equipment, and potential obstructions.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store tools and materials.</li><li>Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of fusion equipment and tools.</li><li>Work collaboratively with crew members, foremen, inspectors, and other trades to meet production schedules.</li><li>Be willing and able to perform general manual labor when not actively fitting or welding pipe.</li><li>Conduct all work with 100% integrity, professionalism, and commitment to quality.</li></ul><p><strong>Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum 3&ndash;5 years of experience installing and welding HDPE pipe in heavy civil, utility, or infrastructure projects.</li><li>Demonstrated experience fusing HDPE pipe in the 8&rdquo;&ndash;22&rdquo; size range.</li><li>Must be certified in HDPE pipe fusion (butt fusion and/or electrofusion) by a recognized manufacturer or training provider (e.g., McElroy or equivalent).</li><li>Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions, including fusion procedures and safety guidelines.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.</li><li>Work long shifts with non-standard break times.</li><li>Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.</li><li>Must have good hand-eye coordination, quick reaction times.</li><li>Able to work in confined or enclosed spaces.</li><li>Able to sit for long periods of time.</li><li>Able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots.</li><li>Able to walk moderate distances to reach work area (1/2 mile or more)</li><li>Able to Enter the cab of a vehicle that is 3.5 feet (or more) off the ground.</li><li>Able to sit in the operator&rsquo;s seat of equipment and safely reach all pedals, switches, levers, buttons, etc. required to safely operate the equipment (if authorized for that piece of equipment)</li><li>Capable of sitting in the operator&rsquo;s seat of equipment and have an adequate field of vision of all instruments, gauges, warning lights, as well as an acceptable field of vision out of the windows and/or mirrors (if authorized for that piece of equipment)</li><li>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards</li><li>Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone</li></ul>
