About the Role
Transport for London (TfL) is seeking an experienced Workplace Strategy Manager to join our Estates Planning & Accommodation (EP&A) team. This pivotal role ensures the delivery of a customer-focused accommodation service across TfL’s Occupied Office and Operational Estates. You will act as the primary point of contact for accommodation and estate-related requirements, driving strategic space planning and supporting operational efficiency across our diverse property portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main contact point for accommodation and estate requirements across TfL and the Greater London Authority family.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, negotiate solutions, and secure buy-in for proposed plans.
  • Support strategic and tactical space allocation, identifying opportunities for space release and optimisation.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Property Portfolio Plans and Operational Business Plans.
  • Deliver day-to-day tactical implementation of accommodation changes in line with TfL’s Land & Property Approach.
  • Provide professional advice on accommodation issues and ensure compliance with TfL standards.
  • Maintain real-time occupancy data to inform estate planning and drive spatial efficiencies.

 

About You
We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in strategic estates management or moves management within a large, complex, multi-site FM operation.
  • Strong understanding of logistical constraints in operational environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to plan and deliver projects under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking and commercial awareness to optimise space utilisation.
  • Experienced stakeholder engagement.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in operational environments.
  • Budget management and cost-efficiency expertise.

Core Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 (with occasional weekend and out-of-hours work).
