Overview of project/role
The primary objective of this role is to assist in the delivery of the London Underground Lift, Pumps and Escalator Maintenance strategy and to improve the reliability/availability of assets. Fitter 2 is a critical role in ensuring electrical or mechanical maintenance, and refurbishment works on all Lift, Escalator and Pump assets in accordance with maintenance schedule. The post holder may be a charge hand cleaner or assisting a Lead Fitter / Fitter 1, and be part of a working group undertaking routine or preventative maintenance on any machine maintained by the Department ensuring that all relevant safety and quality standards, rules and procedures are adhered to.
