About This Role
The Senior FP&A Analyst will be a key financial business partner in supporting Textron Systems ATAC Operating unit with timely analysis, financial modeling and reporting. The analyst will report to the Vice President of Finance and will be responsible for managing many pieces that are used by senior leaders to manage the business daily. They will be able to use historical data and current understanding in order to identify financial trends and patterns as they relate to financial forecast.
Responsibilities
· Work directly with VP of Finance and ATAC leadership team on segment financial analysis and business case / investment decision making.
· Responsible for preparing accurate operating unit monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, Annual Operating Plans, Long range plans, and overall segment level financials. This includes key financial statements and respective causal analysis.
· Prepare overall segment level financial month end reports, including key business unit operating metrics/drivers.
· Partner directly with finance and business segment teams to properly forecast P&L, Cash Flow, Overhead and Capital Expenditures.
· May be asked to present financial data during monthly and quarterly reviews to management teams.
· Works with central accounting team to support consolidation into larger segment financials.
· Analyze data and reports for logical and reasonable outcomes. Investigate errors and propose solutions to the problem.
· Participate in the implementation of new or improved systems and processes.
· Bachelor's Degree required, degrees in Accounting or Finance preferred.
· 3-5 years of experience preferred
· General knowledge of accounting/financial principles and financial statements
· Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels
· Effectively utilize time, manage multiple tasks and adapt to changes in the business environment
· Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required
