About this role

Job Summary:

Lycoming Engines seeks a Supervisor to lead a dynamic team of employees in our facilities and maintenance operations.  This person will be a charismatic leader and change agent capable of driving relentless improvement, motivating team members and holding them accountable for safety, quality, delivery and cost. 



Position Requirements:

  • Leadership experience
  • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
  • Demonstrate ability to influence work culture and drive change in organizations
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving, team building, and conflict resolution skills
  • Possess strong work ethic
  • MS Office skills
  • Knowledge of general aviation engine and airframe applications is preferred
  • Lean manufacturing experience and knowledge
  • Six Sigma training and experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of complex manufacturing machines is preferred
  • Possess the ability to develop, implement, and maintain facility infrastructure
  • Coordinate and prioritize work to meet customer requirements for both production and development demands
  • Possess ability to drive improvements in equipment availability, TPM/PM processes, and machine usage rates.

 Certification, License and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, and/or Supply Chain
  • Employee must be dedicated to continuous learning

Additional Competency Requirements:

·         Teamwork approach, ability to resolve conflicts, presentation skills, Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills; Interface with all levels of Management

Certifications and License

·         Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification is a plus
