About this role

Job Description:

·       Sets up and operates internal, centerless, surface, external, thread and universal grinders for production, experimental, and tool work.

·       Must be able and is required to perform any type of difficult grinding work on any and all types grinders.

·       Grinds steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours and threads.

·       Must be able to set up truing devices on thread grinding for various types and forms of threads. Selects proper speeds, feeds, and wheels.

·       Holds work to required tolerances. Setups are exacting, usually requiring firm and accurately set fixtures, rests or blocks.

Tools & Equipment Used:

All types of grinders, machinists’ hand tools, precision measuring instruments.



Experience & Other Requirements:

·       Three years of production grinding experience including setup.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).  All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.  ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
