About this role

Responsibilities:

• Leading development and on time delivery of fuel, battery, SCR and other mechatronic systems 
• Proactively create and change CAD 3D data 
• Perform ongoing vehicle package clearance analysis
• Take responsibility for creation, review with drawing checker and change of drawings
          o Apply Kautex and customer requirements to drawings
          o Implement standard KICs on Kautex drawings and check
              applicability 
          o Be responsible for the datum system (request confirmation 
              from gauge supplier, quality, plant, manufacturing, PDT 
              (product development team))
• Understanding and applying customer OEM standards 
• Application of Kautex guidelines, GD&T concepts, standards and components
• Data management in PLM system
• Data management in customer database
• Maintain Kautex Standard Check Lists
• Actively participate in Design and Drawing Reviews
• Perform SDL (Simulation in the Design Loop) FEA simulations between design loops
• Support creation/ improvement of standards and guidelines and best practices
• Regular business trips to manufacturing locations to understand production process
• Follow Kautex Data Transfer guidelines (i.e. with DDX Trufusion)
• Release of CAD data into customer database, if necessary
• Application of VAVE (Value Analysis, Value Engineering) process during development of Kautex products
• Mentor for Students, and new colleagues
• Support Design cost calculations



Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Electronical Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable education
• Strong experience in a professional 3D CAD system (ideally CATIA V5 or Unigraphics NX) or comparable engineering experience
• International experience by studying or working in foreign countries is a plus
• Plastics design and process knowledge is a strong plus
• Previous experience in a similar position
•    Knowledge of Composites and plastics - including thermo and thermoset 
•    Knowledge and strong ability on structure design 
•    Experience in Compression Molding Process especially for LFT;
