About this role

JOB SUMMARY

To provide technical and engineering coordination between the customer, Marketing and Engineering/Manufacturing.  Prepares technical proposals and problem summaries for company wide usage.  Provides Service facilities, Field Service personnel and aircraft operators with technical assistance regarding all Fleet Programs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·   Prepare technical data and problem summaries from field reports and inspection summaries to brief marketing, engineering and manufacturing functions on field problems.

·   Sustain technical files of existing and potential product improvements and serialized production changes.

·   Analyze discrepancy reports concerning Textron Aviation Fleet Program products.  Coordinates corrective action with Manufacturing.

·   Acts as liaison between Field Service and Manufacturing on customer problems and corrective measures.

·   Support the on-site assistance at company owned service centers and independent service stations during investigation of unique aircraft problems or prototype installation.

·   Assist with the preparation of technical programs for operators conferences and technical seminars.

·   Support the team and assist with the coordination of equipment suppliers to achieve maximum reliability from installed equipment on Textron Aviation products. 



EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: 

·        Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in:

o   Aircraft Management

o   Aerospace Engineering

o   Avionics Engineering

o   Mechanical Engineering

o   Other related field

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

·        Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills

·        Excellent customer service skills

·        Good computer skills

·        Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work in a team environment to meet department level objectives

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
