Nuclear Medicine Specialist, PRN

Work hours: PRN, Days

Nuclear Medicine Department highlights:

·    Small Team

·    Basic Nuclear exams

·    High volume of cardiac exams



Here’s What You Need

·    Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine required or

·    Associates Degree preferred

·    2 Years in nuclear medicine preferred

·    ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Nuclear Medicine upon hire required or

·    CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist upon hire required and

·    CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required and

·    BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

What You Will Do

·       Explain procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam

·       Position patient to correct anatomical area of interest

·       Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations

·       Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age related factors

·       Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique

·       Maintain attention to details

·       Process and manipulate images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments, or repeat procedures as needed 8. Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS

·       Correctly send and transfer images to PACS

·       Print laser images, CD, or sends images from modality, Ambra, or PACS

·       Coordinate with Scheduling and other modalities for patient care
