Work Hours: Full-Time; Monday – Friday from 11:00am to 7:30pm

Qualifications

Here’s What You Need:

Education

·        High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

Experience

·        6 Months related experience Preferred

·        6 Months customer service Preferred

Certifications and Licenses

·        BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

Skills

·        Ability to make independent decisions while maintaining tact, maturity, and a professional attitude.

·        Excellent verbal communication.

·        Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

·        Knowledge of Windows/PC helpful.

·        Proactive problem solving; good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; advanced computer skills; time management.

What You Will Do:

·        Transports patients by the appropriate method to and from all patient care areas.

·        Deliver and pick up patient care equipment, supplies, mail, patient concierge services and other supporting items throughout the hospital.

·        Maintain par levels and cleans equipment in designated areas.

·        Act as central dispatcher for Mission Control department.

·        Monitors systems: RTLS, security cameras, HUGS, fire panel, generator annunciator, medical gas, and other systems associated with patient and materials movement.

·        Secures necessary maintenance and repair of equipment and maintains adequate stock levels of supplies. May assist with inventory and ordering rental equipment, furniture and/or supplies for Mission Control.

·        Adheres to Body Substance Isolation Universal Precaution Policy.

·        Willingly accepts additional duties and tasks assigned by leadership.

·        Assists patients in dressing appropriately for procedures.

·        Deliver patient concierge services.

Texas Health Denton is a Joint Commission-accredited Primary (Level II) Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center, a Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence and a Magnet® designated hospital.

Our four-story specialty center for women and infants features 12 labor and delivery beds, 2 C-section suites along with 6 antepartum and 24 postpartum beds. Texas Health Denton is the city’s only provider of obstetrical and neonatal intensive care services and is the largest provider of obstetrical services in Denton County. The ground floor houses a breast imaging center, outpatient physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and an internal medicine residency program.
