Work hours: PRN (As Needed) Rotating shifts

Education

·         Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy required or

·         Other Pharm.D. required and

·         Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required

 

Experience

·         3 years hospital experience or residency preferred

 

Licenses and Certifications

·         PHAR - Pharmacist upon hire required

 

What You Will Do

·         Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.

·         Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.

·         Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.

·         Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the department's QA and PS standards programs and initiatives is also required.

·         Ongoing professional development and growth.

·         Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.

·         Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.

·         Other duties as assigned.

Our central location provides convenient care to people in the DFW Metroplex and all across North Texas and Oklahoma. Texas Health Denton is a Joint Commission-accredited Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center and a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. and a Pathways to Excellence-designated hospital. We are the only choice in Denton for oncology services, women and infants’ services, and much more. Lastly, Texas Health Denton’s new Center for Women is under construction. This new building will bring the latest in obstetric care to North Texas as well as a new breast imaging center, outpatient physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and a 10-bed expansion to our emergency department.
