About this role

Reviews submissions of state and federally funded utility accommodation agreements, payment requests, and supporting documents. Work involves analyzing, evaluating and coordinating processing utility - related payments and reimbursement eligibility. Work requires contact with internal Utility Auditors, District and Division partners, Finance personnel, and the Utility industry. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.

Essential Duties:

  • Recommends and implements procedural changes.
  • Represent the Department at various national, state, and local committee and task force meetings.
  • Assists internal and external customers with navigating through the utility accommodation payment and reimbursement procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Assists in updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), utility manual, and related forms.
  • Reviews routine to complex utility agreements to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Assists Utility Auditors in their review of program documentation. 
  • Provides customer support to District and Division customers, Utility Industry, and other groups. 
  • Reviews requests for utility reimbursement and recommends approval or denial of requests.
  • Conducts presentations, provides training, and coordinates meetings related to utility program activities. 
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications

Experience: 2 years utility accommodation reimbursement eligibility or related utility activities. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.

  • Public relations for maintaining effective working relationships with individuals and groups, both internal and external
  • Collecting, sorting, and compiling data
  • Planning and coordinating workshops, seminars, and task force activities

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Sedentary work: Lift up to 10 lbs at a time and occasionally carry files/small tools
  • Standing-prolonged periods of time
  • Repetitive Motion-substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Close Visual Acuity-work includes data/figures; view a computer screen; extensive reading
